Import window feature request
I think it would be terrific if you could add in the importing process the following check box options
File Type:
-Import only Raw
-import only Jepg
-Exclude video files
Do not import duplicated
-on/off
Thanks for listening
Best

It would be good if you could send a support case making your feature request. Then Phase One can gauge how many people are interested in that kind of feature. (Something like that has been suggested before.)

Hi Ettore,
To what extent would the View menu > Global Filters option work for you? I mean, what you request is already available, albeit not in the import images dialog, but from the main program window.0 -
The problem is that GF only works on images that are already in the catalog
but if i want to be able to decide what type of files i want to import or not wont help
When your memory card is full of hundreds of RAW,JEPG and VIDEO it's a great option to have (Aperture has it and its very handy)
adding the global filters in to the importer .. it would solve all problems 😎
Yet the "Import duplicate images: On/Off check box" ... its even more important (see ..Lightroom and Aperture)
Thanks for listening

Ettore,
I was able to use the GF to filter only RAW images (from a mixed RAW and jpg card) into a Session using Windows.
The process looks to be the same as far as the main Import screen is concerned for both Sessions and Catalogs.
I assume that is also true for Mac?
It should also be possible to save the filter(s) for future use.

Thanks i saw that....it helps!!
yet its a bit inconvenient since you have to turn in On and Off each time before and after importing
To have it on the importer would be best so that it doesn't effect the catalog0 -

The "Exclude Video Files" and "Do not import duplicated" would be very nice features to have in the import dialog. The duplicates exclude is the one thing I miss very much from Aperture.0
