GPS & Rescan Exif
Unfortunately, MP as a tagging software does not have a module for geotagging. Therefore, I am using Adobe Lightroom in combination with Jeffrey's Lightroom GPS plugin. After tagging with this plugin I write the GPS data back to the file (which is already in the MP catalog). The GPS data shows up fine in LR, Pictomio, etc. However, I don't see it in MP. I also tried "Sync Annotations" without success. I suspect that "Sync Annotations" really only reads the annotations but does not rescan the Exif data, hence the coordinates don't show up as the catalog database does not reflect the new data. Is there a way to reread the exif data or somehow else to get the GPS data to show up in MP?

I just found a solution. Delete the image from the catalog using "Edit->Delete->Remove From Catalog" (not right click "Move to Recycle Bin"!). Then drag the images back into the catalog. It's not a great solution but it works. If there is a better way I certainly am interested in hearing about it. 0 -
Did you try to rebuild the image instead of removing it out the catalog and import it again?
The predecessor of Media Pro (Expression Media) did had an very decent GPS solution (with Virtual Eart from Microsoft):

Thank you. I tried the rebuild and it did indeed work. The documentation gave the impression this is only for regenerating the thumbnail images. If I recall correctly, for annotations you still need to use the sync annotation option. Is there somewhere some documentation that describes what exactly rebuild does, i.e. what groups and fields it 'rebuilds'?
On another note, changing things in another application can be tricky. I used one that destroyed the picture taken date field so selection by date and ordering on this field did not work anymore. Also, before making any changes it is probably best to sync all changes in MP to the files. Otherwise if you modify the tags in the file in an outside application and then rebuild/resync in MP to read in those changes you might possibly lose some of the work you previously did in MP but that was not written to the files.0
