ARW files not visible

after installing the CO8 software and taking for test drive does not work. when attempting to import ARW files the CO8 software does not recognize and shows no photos on my HD. and yes I know they are there because I am able to see the files when I open them through the file system. what is the fix for this issue? I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the software and still the same issue.

    I'm not having any problems with my ARW files.
    Have you tries synchronizing the folders with the arw files?

    When you open C1 which mode are you selecting?

    From which Sony camera are your ARW file coming? Have you checked the release notes for support?

    He is using an A700.

    We've chatted a bit, because I have found the import process in Capture One to be very, very non-intuitive, and wonder if that is the issue here. I've tried to pass along the "benefits" of my experiences, which initially also included inability to "see" the files.

    Even after watching all the videos, I still have problems creating a catalog and loading files into that catalog in the structure that I desire. I'm sure that if I persist and do enough trial and error I'll eventually get comfortable with it, but I sure wish there were a manual for CO v8 or - even better - something like Virgina Bampton's Lightroom FAQ.
