I've read that too but honestly I thought about a bug. However searching on google I've found THIS.

I've also found some free style from on 1styles.pro.

Thanks for links, that can be same thing. If I order those, do you know where they go, shall I put them in some folder, or shall I drive install and they go where they should?
P1 include some styles, those 5 can be them, I don't know. I use them little bit anyway.

After registering you receive an email with the download link and the instructions to install. You've got three methods:

-Double click the Styles Pack file directly.
-Open Capture One Pro and drag-drop the Styles Pack file into the application window.
-From within the Styles and Presets Tool, click the ••• icon, select Import Styles, browse your Styles Pack and click Open.

Because you have the free styles pack in your possession, you could do:
    - install them, if nothing is added, you already had them, or
    - temporarily all styles to another folder and install the pack and compare
    - unpack the style pack (rename to .zip and unzip) and look into it and compare.
    What ever you like most.

The set is called "Samples" and contains the following styles:

    BW-15 (Film grain)
    CM-03
    MT-03
    SN-02
    SN-14

After downloading and installing, you should find these styles in Adjustments -> Style -> User Styles -> Samples
Next time, if you're unsure, just download and install. At the worst you overwrite them and nothing bad happens. You won't spend 8 days trying to figure it out. 😉

Thanks ClauS, now I have them and I find them.
It was little bit different process to install them.
    Thank you very much, jouni

Maybe you already know there's another style pack to download for free before January 31 with a selection of 10 styles in it.

I downloaded the new styles pack, EDITORS_CHOICE, but can't get it to load into Windows 10 running Capture One 12, very frustrating.

    What problems are you incurring?
I didn't even extract the style pack from the .zip file. I just double clicked the .costyle file inside and the styles got installed. But there are the other ways too. You can even do it manually by extracting and renaming the .costyle file as .zip (bear in mind that it will get the same name and extension of the original downloaded file so rename one of them or delete this). You can then move its content to

    C:\Users\[YOUR_USERNAME]\AppData\Local\CaptureOne\Styles50

Inside this folder you can also organize your styles as you want.

    Thanks Claus,

For me it didn't work from itself eigther.

Looking on the place you indicated - in {ME}\AppData\Local\CaptureOne\Styles50 - I saw a list of 8 "EDITOR'S CHOICE" COSTYLE files (this from trying to click on the file in Downloads)

I removed all, but the first one,
    clicked on it
and finally it extracted to a new folder "EDITOR'S CHOICE" and directly appeared in COP (12).

Some nice styles, - thanks PhaseOne - but I guess pearls for this (s)wine.

Thanks for your reply Claus, when I tried to import the package it just wasn't appearing in the user styles section but now after following your advice I see that there is no App Data folder in my user folder, this might be why it isn't working.

You need to enable view hidden files and folders in Windows Explorer see for instance for instructions, despite mention of vista in link it covers 7, 8, and 10.

Thanks David, that fixed it, I found I had 25 copies of editors_choice in the styles 50 folder from all my attempts to open it yesterday, again many thanks to you and Claus.

The new free EDITOR'S_CHOICE style pack is accidentally packed twice. It now is a .costylepack inside a .costylepack. I reported this to Phase One already.

You can fix this manually by unpacking the outer pack by renaming the extension to .ZIP, next unzip and install the resulting .costylepack as usual.

Update: I heard back from Phase One that the style pack is posted again to solve the issue, but I discovered it is not solved.

Where do I find this EDITOR'S_CHOICE style pack? I can find no reference to it on the Phase One site.

Thanks for the link, as I have been using CO for years and years I would never have looked there. By the way is there any difference between V11 and V12 styles? I am running V12 but the only style pack I bought (B&W) is v11 - it seems ok but...

There is no difference in styles between CO11 and 12 as far as I can tell.
