Advantage of Media Pro SE over C10 catalog?
I started with catalogs but then honestly really started to like sessions. For the pictures I want catalog for myself I now wonder whether I should import them in a C10 catalog or whether I should work with Media Pro. I would like to learn what the advantage of one over the other is. To my surprise I don't find anywhere a direct comparison.

I use only Media Pro and asked the same question to Phase One. No comparison chart exists. So I created my own comparison list over in the Capture One forum and asked for help in refining it:
"Capture One catalogs vs Media Pro: DAM Feature Comparison"
I don't know if the list is accurate. The most I can say is that there appears to be a lot of overlap and some unique features in each program. But in terms of performance, it appears CO 10 catalogs are frustrating many users, especially on a Mac.
Media Pro just works for me. I make extensive use of Catalog Sets (similar to CO's Albums). I don't know how Sessions would help me, if at all.
My sense is that Media Pro, because it is a standalone DAM, has a more neutral database paradigm (vs. what I see as a "workflow paradigm" in CO, geared toward assignments/projects). I prefer a standalone DAM and a neutral database.0
