I returned to some older images and they got corrupted. I have absolutely no idea why or how. I have had no crashes or disc failures or anything to report that I can think of. It has been a while since I touched these files but had reason to go back to them this weekend. I have tried deleting the cache but that didn't help.
Thanks
Martin

I would suggest to copy the images to another folder. Only the image file, no cache, no settings. See what happens. If you have CO4 or 5 Pro, create a new session. Alternatively, open the images on another computer (if you have one and have CO installed).
Are these older images of the same camera are your current (I assume you have more recent images and CO is working fine on the same system) or different?0 -
Thank you Paul,
I've actually raised a support ticket on this and a file has been sent to R&D. I suspect that they won't be able to do anything or identify the problem but hey ho! I did have a look at the file in Adobe Capture Raw and that was screwed as well. I have no idea why it might have happened and can recall any catastrophic events on the PC that might have caused or contributed to the problem.
With one or two of the images I did replace the file outside of Capture One (Pro 5 by the way) and was a bit worried because when I opened up Capture one again the image would flash with a corupt view but eventually, this stopped happening and it seemed as though it had recovered.
