Tokens in Description/Caption
Is it possible to dynamically-generate captions/descriptions in C1?
I am new to Capture One, being a longtime Photo Mechanic/Lightroom user. My previous workflow was to shoot to card, ingest and apply metadata with Photo Mechanic, and then process with Lightroom.
I now want to shoot tethered and do everything including metadata with C1. I don't understand why C1 does not seem to have ability to use tokens within the description field. With Photo Mechanic I use Supplemental Category variables to store FirstName, LastName and CompanyName for my headshots for example. This allows me to generate a meaningful caption for every shot automatically.

I use AppleScript to generate a description from keywords that I have assigned to the pictures. Obviously this happens after I assigned the keywords in the first place.
Did you try to apply Metadata with the options in the "Next Capture Adjustments" tool?

You'd have to create the Metadata settings before you start shooting of course.0
