Capture One Pro using Vista Premium Tethered

I just bought a new HP Notebook for remote shooting tethered. Attempted to install Capture One 3.7. Would not install and found a work around on Phase Ones' site that seemed to work. Tried testing and although the software detects my Canon 5D I'm not seeing any previews. Before I install the upgrade I am hoping that someone might have some insightful information that I'm missing. ❓

Gary,
I currently don't have a 5D or other Canon DSLR to test, but I think that tethered shooting with CO3.7.8 on Vista is not supported (in general Vista is not supported but a workaround for installing and running exists). My assumption is based on the fact that Vista requires different hardware device drivers compared to 2000/XP.
Maybe someone else has more (positive) experience.
