unable to start a new session/catalog
So i have been using capture one for over a year now, i recently updated to capture one 12, everything was working fine until last week. i have been working in a session on and off, about three days ago I was working on my pictures and when i was finished i closed capture one (the same way i always do), the saving bar showed up, i let it sit there for about 20 minutes but it was late and i needed to get to bed so i forced closed capture one and shut down my computer. i went back the next day to finished editing my pictures, non of my edits were saved, annoyed i again edited the pictures, and again when i was finished when i tried to close capture one the save progress bar showed up, i let it go for a good hour and a half before forcing the program closed.
fast forward a couple days. i have tried everything, verifying the session, ect. i completely uninstalled capture one and deleted the sessions from my computer. upon reinstalling capture one, 2 of my old sessions (that i deleted) still show up when i try to launch capture one. but it will not let me launch them (because i deleted them) and i cannot start a new session or catalog. when i try i get the following message:
Unable to open "(session name here)".
Capture One was unable to open "(Session name here)".
Error: the document could not be created.
so now i can't not even launch the program anymore. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling it on a different drive. but i get the same result.
Please help i am out of ideas and have not been able to find anything useful online.
