updating to 5.1 from 5.0

hey there
Im new to capture one, I just saw today after launching the program that there was an update. I followed the links to install it and once on my computer it asked for the license key again. If i do this will it deactivate my 5.0 version? or should I deactivate 5.0 manually?

    Adam,
    There is no manual activation for Capture One 5.
    Just put in your key as you did with 5.0 and you will be able to have full access to 5.1. The activation will not be held against you, it is just there for verification.

    perfect. should I trash the old 5.0 from my applications then or is there any use to hold onto it?

    When you install 5.1 it will simply overwrite 5.0.

    The reason why you were asked to activate after upgrading is that you didn't overwrite 5.0. When you copy/move/install Capture One to a new path, you will always be asked to activate.
