DNG Support
Hi all,
I've just converted all my RAW files (from Canon 10D, 20D and 5D) to DNG using Adobe's DNG converter.
However, I'm not sure C1 can use them properly. For instance, C1 doesn't seem to be able to recognise what camera the shot was taken with - it uses an ICC profile called 'DNG File', regardless. I have to manually change the ICC profile. Also the default noise reduction applied is higher than what would be applied to the original RAW file (which is slightly worrying), and when setting the white balance the only options are 'Shot' or 'Custom', no other auto settings such as 'Daylight' or 'Cloudy' etc.
So is C1's DNG support rather limited? Is it unable to even read what camera the shot was taken with and apply the correct default noise reduction?
Luckily I've embedded the original RAW files with the DNG's so I can extract them if I need to, but it would be nice if I didn't have to.
Thanks,
Ricky.

Yes, it is rather limited. Another topic to review the upcoming new release against.0 -
Thanks Paul, thank god I embedded the original RAW files! I was going to wait for Pro to reprocess them all anyway. Hopefully DNG support will be improved, if not I'll have to extract the originals before reprocessing. Not ideal obviously and something I'd appreciate Phase One addressing. 0
