Capture One changing focus point of camera
So I am shooting tethered from a Fuji X Pro 2 to Capture One 12.1.1.7 into a MacPro running Mojave 10.14.6.
I focus the camera and turn it to auto mode but when shooting tethered as I capture an image with the capture button in Capture One the focus is changed.
If I capture the image via the shutter release button (but the image is still captured into the software rather than to the camera's memory card) the focus does not change.
If I shoot untethered to card then the focus also does not change.
It was working a month ago no problem but now is not. I can not use the shutter button because I have to have the camera ten feet up on a tripod and I have to capture images through a twelve hour period so do not fancy sitting on a ladder for the whole point.
I have changed no camera settings that I know of but I have upgraded to the latest Capture One recently.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I have had a similar issue but I found a solution today. Well for my workflow anyway.
My setup is as follows:
A Nikon D850 connected with a Tethertools USB cable to a 15" 2018 macbook.
Running Capture One 12.1.4.24 on OSX Mojave 10.14.6
I can use two types of autofocus on the d850.
One trough the viewfinder which you move around with the joystick.
One trough live view on the display on the camera by just touching the screen where I want the focus to be (camera can’t be connected via USB for live view to work).
When I use live view to focus or manually with the lens ring Capture one was still using the viewfinder method when pressing the shutter button in Capture one. So the only way to not re-autofocus with a Capture one tethered capture I had to disable the autofocus entirely on the camera body.
So today I had a bit of time to try a few different settings and found a way to stop Capture one from refocussing when pressing the shutter release button in Capture one (Cmd+K).
I found out that Capture one didn’t have an other option than “focus†for shutter priority under AF-S (auto focus single). But is does give options under AF-C (auto focus continuous). So I’ve set the camera to AF-C with shutter priority set to “release†instead of “focusâ€. Now nothing refocus when releasing the shutter trough Capture one and I can use whatever focussing method I wish to use prior releasing. Happy me!
