attaching white balane

when tethered, how do you set the white balance so the next shots come in with the corresponding white balance. there is a "set" button in the camera tab that is grey out and i cannot click on it. is this what i am looking for? why doesnt this button work? (c1pro 4.5.2)

  Without the experience but from the top of my head (hat?) I would say: Capture tools tab, Next Capture Adjustments, Other, Copy from last/Copy from primary.

  Yes you use copy from last in the drop down tab below your camera profile, I think the save colour balance only works with PhaseOne backs.
