Win 7 Problem after C1 6.4 Update

I'm just in the middle of my second total lock-up of C1 since updating. Memory in use by the process was at about 1.7GB both times. Have since downgraded back to 6.3.3 (the last version I had laid around) which is chewing up less than 700MB now. This was on a 64 bit Windows 7 system with 8GB of RAM and not alot else running.

One interesting note, the title of the window on 6.4 said 'Capture One5'.

EDIT: after a bit more use then 6.3.3 is chewing up similar amounts of memory. That said, its not fallen on its backside like 6.4 did to me. I should also note I didn't get the same Explorer issue the OP had, and non-response was restricted to Capture One. I could kill the process in Task Manager and get back on track.

As this is a user forum...I'll report that 6.4 is functioning properly on three different CPUs with Win7 64 bit and installed system RAM from 8 gigs to 24 gigs...an i5, an i7, and an older Core2 Quad. All three have only been used for 5D Mk3 files....but have all done editing, corrections, and processing properly...accross a network.

I would report your experience to support ASAP with as many details as possible....it is certainly not specific to the software/OS combination.

6.4 is absolutely fine here - 7D files converted to tiffs on a Win 7 64 bit box (not networked) with an Intel quad core and 8 gb of RAM.

My PC went into the Explorer fail/restart loop. Ended up using command line to uninstall CO 6.3.3, deleting the directory and then everything is curiously back to normal. Seems odd that I wasn't on 6.4 at the time. God knows whats going on!

One final post on the matter. Put 6.3.3 back on one more time, crash loop starts again with Explorer. Uninstall (no need to remove directory this time as it'd removed it itself), then reinstall 6.4 and after an hour or so's use then all is fine.

After installing C1 6.4 64bit version Windows7 constantly crashes "blue screen of death" 😭 .
Sofar no solution found, so i have to rely on my Lightroom 4 for now.

During what action does it crash? During startup, or while working?

Windows crash happens everytime i select the tool tab "Details", Capture One seems to work fine during color and exposure adjustments.
Version used: Capture One Pro 6.4 64 bit running on Windows 7 64 bit.

Suggestion: in CO6 Preferences (Edit menu), General tab, set OpenCL to Never and try again.

Ty, disabling OpenCL did the trick.

Great, now you might want to go updating drivers for your video card, and try to use OpenCL again (or not).

I just had the same problem with Explorer going into the crash/restart loop after installing 64 bit version. (it did this upon restarting the machine). I was able to uninstall through the task master and then download the 32 bit version and am running it successfully now. Curiously, it didn't prompt me to restart the machine before running it tho that could be because
I didn't have the previous version installed any longer.

I have W7 and always ran C1 Pro 64bit version. never had any problems. yesterday I updated to version 6.4 and all works great. I have Intel i7-2600 with 8GM RAM, 256GB SSD. C1 absolutely lowes this combination. All adjustemens load etc. happen almost instantly without any delays...
