false focus?

im noticing that when checking focus in C1v8 the processed images look much softer(in photoshop) than what I see when checking focus in C1v8. If I change the engine to C1v7 the processed image looks slightly sharper. Anyone else noticing this?

  You have not accidentally checked the box for disabling sharpening in the process recipe? Just checking...

  I believe by default Capture One Pro applies sharpening and Photoshop
  and Lightroom do not.
  
  Although, I also think Capture One Pro's default sharpening is superior
  to either Lightroom or Photoshop.
