selection problems

I've also had the \"Apply to Selected Captures\" problem in version 3.6. For me it's been infrequent and I just select a different image to copy the settings from and it works. I haven't investigated further. I've also had a problem dating back through several releases where the color balance settings occasionally get changed slightly when applied to selected captures.

I wish Phase One would stop adding features for a while and spend some time streamlining their program and correcting all these little quirks that seem to be piling up. The program is so well thought out and designed but it's really frustrating dealing with all these things and having to wonder if each new release is actually going to work or not.

I can not apply settings to selected images either. I have tried both buttons, the one in the tool pane and the one in the tool bar. I have seen this before as well and it is very frustrating. I have folders with several hundred images in each. Hand tooling each file is unacceptable. I'm back on 3.6 for this reason.

As far as batch processing goes, the bug there is somewhat less bad. The thumbnail pane needs to be active for the selected images to be processed. If you select a batch to process, then click in the preview pane (to say, change the cropping) and press Process, only the viewed image will process. All the rest that are selected will be ignored. Clicking in the thumbnail pane will then activate that pane and allow batch processing. HOWEVER.... this brings us to another bug. To change the pane focus, you need to click. But if you click on one of the thumbs, you lose your selection of images. Clicking on an already selected thumb should NOT deselect the rest of the selection. It should just change focus to the thumb pane. Clicking again should result in selection change (or clicking on a thumb that is not already selected could do this as well).

This is really basic stuff. How could it get through QC?
