Legacy (C1pro 3.7.9) files import REALLY light

when using C1pro 7.1.1, importing legacy images (images from C1pro 3.7.9) into session or catalog the files initially appear fine. after a few seconds all the previews go REALLY light. i am organizing my entire image catalog in 7.1.1. C1pro 3.7.9 does not work on newer Mac OS's. how can i retain the integrity of the original capture in 7.1.1?

  Well, I do not think that the integrity of your images is at stake. I am not sure what is going on however. After import, the previews are generated. This might explain the change after initial display. Without some images or screenshots (perhaps hard to make) it is difficult to say.
  
  Note, for the record, that the adjustments you made with CO 3.x are not imported in CO7.
