Excuse me, but my english language is poor, so I write in French.

    Two improvements which I wish:

-1 - In Expression Media 2 when a file is published, it is saved with extension JPE, which poses problems of communication with certain software. I am obliged to re-elect them in JPG. Would it be possible to have the choice of the extension?

-2 - In Iview Media Pro one could choose a maximum weight of the files in recording, which appears better to me than what was selected for Expression Media.

-3 - In One Capture, It should be possible to choose the unit in which to place the file “Capture One Libraryâ€, which is placed on the unit system what is not always desirable.

Regarding all three points, I suggest you to open a support case with Phase One from their web site and present it as a feature request. Of course this is a great place to discuss the issues with your peers here.

Regarding -3- (Capture One Library) a workaround is to neglect the default session at all by creating your own sessions (CO Pro or DB only) or opening your image folder elsewhere within your computer (i.e. other disk).

iView Media and Expression Media issues are better posted in the the Expression Media subforum for a better response.

Hello I am experiencing the same problem with the jpeg files saved with a JPE extension while trying Expression media 2.
At the same time, I know that not everybody has this problem, as you can see in an answer to my post:

Have you any news or have you found out workaround for this in the meantime? It would be really appreciated!

Unfortunately in the meantime I realized the problem is much worse: for some obscure reasons, if the image file has a name longer than the conventional 8-characters limit of old DOS age, when modified in the EM2 image editor and then saved the whole name changes and shortens to 8 characters (I hadn't realized this before since my image files are normally exactly 8-character long).
For example, a file named "IMGP24117a.JPG" is turned into a "IMGP24~1.JPE". It's as if EM2 thought to be working under good old DOS when in fact it's nothing less than WIN7!!!
To add more mistery, if you tell EM2 to save a copy of the original elsewhere before saving, the name of the copy does not change.
In this light, the JPE extension problem is a minor nuisance. Changing all file names in such a way means turning everything into a big mess..... WHAT the hell is WRONG here????
