White balance setting (Kº) with a Canon 5D Mark II tethered.
I am having trouble with a Canon 5D Mark II tethered and the White Balance setting in Capture One Pro (v. 4.8.2).
I could not figure out yet how to show and keep in CO the Kelvin number set first on the camera.
The White Balance custom setting does not reflect the value set on the camera or, the other way, when i set a custom setting Kelvin number within CO, it does not stay...
It always shows a value around 5700ºK~5800ºK , never gets the value set on the camera of, for example, 5400º K.
This whatever the menu selections are made in the panel WHITE BALANCE > Mode: Custom or Mode: camera custom 1 or Mode: camera custom 2, etc.
And on the other hand, which ever settings done in the panel NEXT CAPTURE ADJUSTMENTS for ICC Profile and All Other: Default, copy from last, copy from primary, etc.
I might miss something here and will deeply appreciate any hint to obtain an unchanged WHITE BALANCE Kelvin value in CO. with a Canon 5D Mark II tethered.
(with my Phase One P21 back and the same CO version, no problem at all in this field)
Thank's a lot in advance.

For canon there is no ability in the software to set the cameras internal WB. What you should do is set the the white balance in Capture One and then make sure Next Capture Adjustments is set to Copy from Primary. Then the correct settings will be applied to each subsequent image as they are imported. 0 -
Thanks a lot Jon for your detailed reply.
Yes, doing as you suggested - setting the WB in C1 first and having Next Capture Adjustments set to Copy from Primary - works fine for while.
But if the camera is inactive for while, the following shot will be done under under the fix value of 5850º K... Why this one ? Nobody knows... It has not never been set nowhere (camera or C1)...
But i should have explained before that i am working with a Capture folder been located on Raid hard disk/server and this brings lot a problem: frequent crashes, erractic sorting, thumbnails viewing slow, sometimes impossible...
So those strange WB setting changes might be part of the problem due to the configuration.
I'll get back to a Capture folder not set on a network and will share the result. Thank's again. Ph.
p.s.: anothing to do with this post but why my previous forum ID " ppp " has been changed to " NN884921 " ? Is possible to get it back ?0
