C1 very slow
Hallo,
Can You tell me why C1 6.3.2 when I'm working with my pictures DNG, drawing local adjustment, erasing, trying to change some exposure, contrast etc. C1 is working much slower then for example ACR or PS. In C1 I have to wait a second when my changes will be done. I've OSX Lion 10.7.2, MacPro 2x2.4GHz Quad-Core and 20GB DDR3 and ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB.
Do I have to buy another graphic card?? Help me please. I really don't want to change my software. Thank You.

First thing to check is the OpenCL setting (Auto/Never) in Preferences, General tab. Switch to the other setting and check whether this improves performance.
While in the Preferences you might also experiment with the Preview Cache setting (default 1000 pixels) at the Image tab.
Experiment with one setting at a time.0 -
I checked Auto in Preferences/General/Use OpenCL. In Image/Cache I have 1000px. What is Your suggestion? For example when I use Spot removal I have yellow SQUARE on my screen... 0 -

First try to work without a different setting for OpenCL. If it is Auto currently, switch it to Never.
Regarding Image/Cache, consider working with a larger size, approx. the number of pixels of your screen. This makes your proxies larger, but might improve preview refresh (the effect is a bit of a grey area, hence a trial and error).0
