¿Where are the IPTC?
(C1 v 7.1.3, windows)
I create a catalogue.
No one of the photos have IPTC.
But when I open the photos in lightroom, there is the IPTC.
(Not importing, only images with IPTC).
¿Why cannot I read the iptc of the images?

Raw files, jpeg, tiff? 0 -
Have you actually embedded (written) the IPTC to the files or is it just residing in the Lightroom Catalogue, by default in the settings LR does not automaticly write them to file.
This would explain your problem, if its not there CO7 will not see it.
I don't have a problem with CO7 reading IPTC that has been written to files by Lightroom ,but just the way it handles lens EXif from my K-30.0 -
Raw files.
Lightroom says in the raw files the iptc they locate the iptc in a sidecar file bit in other formats (tiff, jpg...) are into the image file.
I can read the iptc of my raw files with lightroom and photoshop, but not with capture one. IPTC fields are empty.
The problem is this: I have a work with almost 22.000 images in a catalogue in lightroom. I have created another catalogue in captore one 7 and there is no iptc.
(I have NO imported the lightroom catalogue, I have created a new catalogue in capture one)
(AFter all my capture one 7.1.3 do not show a "Import lightroom catalogue" only a "import mediapro catalogue").0 -
Let me reiterate, unless you have actually written the IPTC to the sidecar files in Lightroom it is in LR's data base and not in the sidecar file. When you send a file from LR to Photoshop it automaticly writes the IPTC to the new file which is why you are seeing it in Photoshop.
Let me visually demonstrate.
On the right the keywords in Lightrooms database on the left they do not show up on CO7.

Now after writing the IPTC to the sidecar file in Lightroom it is now visible in CO7.

Now for the bad news, CO7's catalogs are not a true Dam program (its rather crap for that compared to LR) so once you import image with no embedded IPTC there is now way to get any externally embdedded IPTC keywords into CO7 catalog with out deleting from the catalog and re-importing the image, but you lose all your settings then, unless someone can tell me differerent.
If you highlight the files in LR and then select Save metadata to files then when you import these files in CO7 the keywords and IPTC data will then show.

If you do not understand then I cannot explain it any better I am afraid.0 -
Thanks Paul. When it say "save metadata to files" it is to the sidecar files and not the original imagen files ¿Isn't?
I left to use fotostation because all the work I did in fotostation were lost when open the images in lightroom.
Then always keep the metadata in the xmp files ¿isn't?
(And it is not you cannot explain better, it is than english is not for me the natural way to talk in my life).0
