System Strategy ...
Hello !
As we know that C1 doesn't work with OpenCL on OS X.8.x, what is the best strategy ?
Install 10.7 back or wait for an upgrade ?
PhaseOne Team ?
Thank You !!

Laurent,
I asked PhaseOne support about OpenCL with 10.8.x the other day. Answer: It’s on the todo list, but they can’t publish a timeline, as always.
It’s not a big issue for me, even though processing is sped up quite a lot on my 10.7 backup machine. But I don’t need to process more than a couple of dozen files a time, so, eh. Extended ciggie break. 😉
Cheers,

What are the specs of the compter(s) you would be running it on Laurent? If you are running high end machines, OpenCL might be more trouble than it is worth. In my opinion, if you are running SSDs, plenty of RAM, fairly modern processor, etc. you shouldn't have to worry much about performance. Most Mac video cards aren't powerful enough to really make Open CL a major factor in the first place. 0 -

You're quite right : I'm in that case ! But this week I go back to X.7 on my computer (not only because C1) and C1 shows the preview smoother. There is now two differents preferences for OpenCL and I have the impression OpenCL for display is quite good.0
