captureone pro on osx server
We want to batch-process images on our OSX 10.6.1 SERVER. Yes, ON the server !
This is the most powerful machine in our studio, and is switched-on overnight.
We need to process +4000 images per day, and want to use this souped-up machine.
But: CaptureOne seems to run fine on this machine, but does NOT process...
Anyone with experience on this ?
To my knowledge, there is no difference in basic operating system between a server and a regular osx version.
Thx.

If there weren't any difference between OSX client and OSX Server, don't you think they'd just be called the same thing? While it might be nice to process on your "souped-up" server, OSX server has no basis on which to set up an application like C1. A limited color engine, no camera drivers, and no way to allocate memory for the kind of processing that C1 does. I would suggest souping up another computer and using it solely for processing, because Apple would probably have to re-engineer their server OS to make this work. 0 -
You could consider to install OS X client on a separate partition or volume and restart the machine. See if it works for you this way.
Regarding OS X Server not serving you the way you would like. There are also log files in <user name>/Library/Logs which might help troubleshooting.0
