Surface Pro 4 Performance issues - Adjustment masks

    Hi there,
Adjustment Masks (esp. showing the mask with the "M" shortcut) has always been really laggy on my Surface Pro 3 and my Surface Book with dedicated GPU (dGPU). They did improve support for the Surface Book's GPU so that rendering works much more quickly (and files do not have bizarre artifacts in them). However, Adjustment Masks are still slow.

Trying to perform subtle adjustments is pretty much out of the question because by the time you've done some masking, you have to wait for the computer to catch up. Sort of like playing Flight Simulator on the C64.

It's a mixed bag anyway as far as I can tell... trying to get good edges selected in things like sky vs. trees / ground to adjust the exposure usually results in a "halo" / "fringe" around the edges when you render the final image.

One thing to make sure you install on the Surface Pro is the Wintab pen drivers. And turn off Windows' "Flicks" feature, and possibly change your preference for "Long Press = Right Click". That makes working with Windows and the pen nicer for graphics apps.

    Hello,

may I ask if you use an external display with the SP4 to run Capture1? If not, do you have the issue with C1 displaying tiny UI elements too? How did you solve it if so?
