Output size and scaling
Please forgive me if there is a really simple answer to this but I can't see it and i can't believe that the software isnt capable of doing it.........
When processing the files, as well as processing to a tiff image and a quickproof image i would also like to produce a smaller jpeg for my website. The size that i use is 550 pixels wide or high depending on landscape or portrait.
I have added another output - got it to put the picture in its own sub folder and label it perfectly but when setting the output size i was expecting it to scale the whole picture down to a 550 x 367 pixel image. Instead it just crops an area of that size out of the middle of the picture (as indicated by the crop box that appears over the image on the right.
Surely there is a way for it to output a 550 x 367 pixel image that shows the whole picture? I have tried various setting changes but so far i just keep ending up with it cropping out this middle section of the photo.

ah now i feel stupid. you simply had to drag the crop box to the edges of the picture and in fact whistl doing so the size remains the same. Thanks for your help! 😂 0 -

A good tip is to use QuickProof as the conversion is only 2-5 sec per file and perfect for web use. Also set output size as "To Size" and then type in 550 x 550 pixels. All files will now be 550px on the longest dimension, whether vertical or horizontal.
