MP & CO 7
Has anyone been able to get the MP talking properly with CO 7; eg, if you rebuild a photo, will it show the changes you made in CO 7?
Mine works well with CO6 but not CO7, even though I have it in a helper application list.

No, apparently the connection's not yet been made.
I take it the rendering engine called by MP is still the CO6 one, not the new one.
I'm hoping they'll update MP, because this was one of the main reasons for me to go with this combo.0 -
I find I cannot sync my annotations back to CO 7. Is that also what you are finding? 0 -

I opened a Support Case regarding this issue. I shoot DNG, hence MediaPro is set up to embed metadata if possible. CaptureOne 7 can’t read this additional, embedded metadata here. It works, though, if I select “always write XMP sidecar files†but sidecars don’t suit my workflow.
Funny thing is, if I create a new session with CO 7 and copy the files in question to this fresh session (without any CO sidecar files for settings or proxies), the added metadata shows up.
PhaseOne has troubles replicating this behaviour, so I guess it’s down to computer/system setup. In my case, iMac with OSX 10.8.2.

Thanks. I can't get my keywords to show whether I select sidecar files or not. I can see when I open the sidecar file the information is there. CO 7 just doesn't want to read it.
I'm on iMac 10.7.50 -
Oops, the "Load Metadata" selection under the File menu in Capture One 7 seems to work for me in bringing in the information. I don't remember having to do that with version 6. 0 -

In Preferences, what are your settings in Image > Metadata > Auto Sync Sidecar XMP?
By default, as with CO-6, CaptureOne 7 doesn’t auto-sync XMP, so you’ll need to “Load Metadata†on your image selection.

Thank you Sascha, I missed the Metadata settings in Preferences. I should have gone back and re-read that section of the manual but I am so accustomed to new software versions retaining existing user settings that I automatically assumed it was a bug. 😊

Hi all,
Another thing is how to get your MP catalog imported into CO7(now specified in CO7). This failed in my trial (I have discussed this in another thread under CO7 segment.

As did mine. I will continue to use CO7 "sessions" until this gets sorted out. Otherwise changes I make to a photo may not come over into the CO new catalog.0 -
I have had the same problem - not being able to use catalogues - but only sessions, as the CO 7 crashed so often when I used catalogues. I updated my opencl driver, and now CO 7 is more stable
See http://www.phaseone.com/Search/Article. ... nguageID=1
I have also disabled opencl in regedit, but it did not make any difference.

I have had the same problems with metadata and have tried as advised in this thread to reload the metadata in CO 7. It works - it also works when I sync them (inside CO 7)
