iMac tethering with CaptureOneLE?
Hi, this may be a long post, sorry about that.
I have a G4 laptop, approx 2 1/2 years old, which I use on location. It works fine, although is a lot slower than when I first had it. This is not a problem when working on static subjects with my Hasselblad and P25, but yesterday I was shooting sportswear with the Hass and Nikon for details and action. It was painfully slow, and not really viable to shoot tethered, so I pulled the firewire to improve speed, which was fine for me, but the client missed seeing the shots on screen.
I don't really need a new notebook, however, whereas my wife has an iMac from the last century, and could do with a new computer for book keeping etc. Has anyone tried working a P25 tethered to an iMac, and more particularly, will it work with CapterOne LE? I will need CaptureOne on 3 computers so won't have enough credit to use it on the new one. When I am on location on my own, the notebook is fine, generally for downloading files or static imagery, where speed isn't important. Whenever I shoot people, my wife is with me for make-up etc. so I wouldn't be depriving her of office computer usage, in fact, it makes perfect sense, including the huge price advantage. But I need to know whether I'd have to budget for a full version of CaptureOne, or can go for the cheaper LE version until I am back in the studio, where I would transfer the files to my MacPro tower as a matter of course. Or maybe someone has a an alternative solution to my predicament? I only need to view and store the files, I won't need to do any processing as a rule.
Thanks in advance, Andrew

Andrew,
Be sure you are up to date with Firmware 3.3.4 and Capture One Version 3.7.7
Be sure Preferences > Camera Setup > set to IIQ Raw L
Only Capture One DB and PRO versions support tethering with your P25.
Any portable Apple machine may lack sufficient power from FW port.

DB and PRO are the same with PRO supporting DSLRs.
As a P25 owner you may have DB version for Free with as many installs as you need. If you want to get a Product Key for DB, contact Support with a Case and submit Dealer and Studio Contact information and Serial # of your Dback.
