    tried some more:

    - installed v11 -> working
    - installed v12 -> not working... not starting up.

    Unfortunately I already upgraded the Session I was working on to v12 (in the few minutes it was working). Now I can´t open that session anymore with v11. Is there a way around?

    Edit:
    - uninstalled all C1P Versions and deleted User-Folder C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\CaptureOne
    - reinstalled C1P v12 -> no startup

    Your Capture One 11 session has now it session file upgraded to v12. Fortunately, the old session file from v11 is still there with a backup suffix. Just delete the new file and rename the old one back and you can open it in C11.

    Also start a support case and take the time to solve. Until then you can safely use 11.

    Hey Paul,

    thanks for the hint with the backup.
    I have C1P v11 installed along v12 and I can open and use my session in v11 like I am used to.

    About the v12 Issue I will raise a support case.

    regards Manuel

    Did you keep a backup copy?

    After deleting the folowing as described in a different thread it starts again.

    C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\Phase_One\CaptureOne

    .exe_StrongName_y3yh4brhpfi14u41fltdrpfruizxirsn\12.0.0.291

    Still strange as I never had problems since C1 9.

    This is a good solution as it allows CO12 to create a new preference file. If it still does not work, clear the parent ..\Phase_One\ folder. This clears the older preference files of previous versions if they had been installed on your computer.

    of course I did... I don´t want to loose my styles / recipes etc. etc. 😉
    but thanks for the hint. It might help others to not only delete that folder without a backup.

    Great tip. 😊
    I totally forgot that there is also a "Phase_One" folder in AppData\Local

    After deleting this folder C1P v12 is starting up fine again for me. I hope this was a final solution and the error will not return. 😊
