When screen touching on a post title I frequently inadvertantly touch the sender's profile as it is immediately below the subject title.

For me this is an annoyance and do not have this problem with my other ten forums.

If you could increase the space beween the two lines or move the poster's profile to the right of the subject then there would for me be no problem,

I posted in this section as you do not offer a section to post comments about the website,

  What sort of device are you using? And which browser?
  
  I somehow doubt that requesting a complete change of forum layout, which might require a change of forum software and supplier, will meet with much enthusiasm unless it is already a future development plan. Therefore identifying a way to help you avoid the challenge would seem to be a more immediately useful approach.

  I'm using my Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet with Chrome browser in desktop display mode.
  
  When using my Samsung Galaxy mouse to select a post there is no problem but I'll be surprised if anyone using a smaller tablet or a phone does not frequently hit the sender's name instead of the post link.

  It's not a unique screen layout based on the provider of the forum software. So I tried a couple of others that I use.
  
  On my Android Smartphone (pure Android in this case) selecting the area in question either gives me the result I want or questions which of the two possible links I intended to hit, giving me an enlarged view of that part of the screen as it does so. AFAIK the browser will be Chrome since on this device I have installed anything else.
  
  The problem for web site and forum developers is that they are always trying to find a suitably acceptable way to provide the various technologies in use with a way to operate without taking up, at worst case, a screen per question/option.
  
  Make it slick, some won't like it.
  
  Make it clear cut but not stylish - web world will explode with disdain.
  
  If you can I would be tempted to use the 2 finger swipe to enlarge the screen and make selection easier. Or, in the case of most (but not all) titles, just touch over to the right where the user name field does not extend, and work from there.
  
  an instant and likely more permanent solution in an ever changing "eco-system".
