C1 V7 crashes after import
On a totally fresh and new Win7-installation including all windows-updates and the newest nVidia video driver for GT520, I installed C1 V7 (german) without changing any default settings. I imported the complete folder "My pictures / 2004" (only some tif pictures) and activate the option "save files at current loacation".
After import in the category "Folder" I only see the sub(!)-subfolders from "2004"? What would happen if I had imported all my folders up to "2012"?
But it is even worse that C1 crashes immediately while clicking on the imported (sub)-folders. The rash reporter doesn't appear. This error is repeatable.
*EDIT*: Same happens, when I only use the date filter...
Sorry, in this case I'm not able to upgrade to V7... 😭

It sounds like you are trying to import into a catalog.
I have had the same issue when trying to create a new catalog from a source with a large number of photos.
I have been able to make a new catalog from a 10-70 files, but not from 1000s.
However, I can easily open a new session and point it at the large folder of files.
Try this.
For this reason, and another one, I am not planning on using a catalog created in CO7.0 -
I have stopped using catalog on a set of 3000 photos. C1 v7 crashes most of the times and do even not import correctly (do not import all ratings (only some) and not always all color tags. C1 v7 works better on sessions (there I have only experienced some failures in counting filter items.
