Noise Reduction in Specific Areas

I'm new to C1 and have spent time looking at the various tutorials and playing around with some photos.

Is there a way to add noise removal to just a specific area? So far the controls all look global. When in the layers pane, there looks like only specific adjustments can be made after creating a mask/layer.

Once done, sending the photo to Photo Shop is ok, but I'm trying to do most of the work within C1. If you don't use Photo Shop what would be a good stand alone program that reduces noise in specific areas?

  When using Adjustments Layers you have a limited subset of tools and noise reduction is not (yet) part of it. Since the layers are fairly new to Capture One - introduced in CO6 - new developments with more tools could be part of a future release. However, no solid information exists on that.

  Thanks for the info. I did the plunge and bought the program with the 50% off and have been learning more about it. Hopefully we'll see more selections to use with layers.
