Is anybody out there who use the eos350d (FW ver1.03) and co 4.0.1.14900 ?

Never had one problem with my XT files on any of the betas, or with v4.0
and v4.01. All my files have been recognized and the correct profile is
    always properly assigned.

    I seriously doubt it's a computer issue.

Hello, I use 350D and 40D at the same time. 40D raw files (CR2) will displayed, 350D (CR2 also) will not displayed in the CO4 browser. The read-only flag is reseted.

Canon 350D support should not give any problems in CO4. You did reset the read-only flag on the files (probably after restore from RO media like CD/DVD). Did you also check the RO flag on the folder on your hard drive?

And what are your symptoms? Do you get a question mark instead of thumbnails or thumbnails with an icon of an eye (meaning: read-only)?

    Hello again

    - the R/A/S/H/ flags are off (file, folder, drive).
    - same problem on another machine with fresh formatted CF card and a new xp2 installation (only xp and co4 nothing else on HD).

I uploaded a *.cr2 to the support and he said: "HI Sven-
neither my mac or Pc could read these files . And Lightroom saw it as a D70 ( nikon ) file".

Later I received this helpful message: "The CR2 file that you have attached is unreadable. This can be caused by importing method, troubleshoot this by simply dragging and dropping the CR2 files into a folder on the desktop, do not use any sort of helper application."

But the most important thing is: Those cam works perfekt with EVERY program - except co4. ... I call this a bug....

    here some screenshots:

    This files for testing:

Please post whether you can handle the file or even not. I don't think co4.0.1. is supporting eos350d cr2. I could buy another computer and probably I recognize the same problem - but maybe ... I'am wrong ... hope so ...

Well, I downloaded both files, and 4812 opens just fine - in Raw therapee...

It's OK in Raw Shooter Essentials too - but Cap One doesn't see them at all!

I've tried renaming them - shouldn't matter - but it didn't help anyway.

Strange thing though, the second file (4811) is only 205kb in size.

I opened the file in a text editor.
Take a look at the camera name. " Canon unknown " Shouldn't this display the camera model?
This may be why C4 doesn't recognize your files.

Out of interest, both Lightroom and ACR have no problems opening the 2 RAW files - both of which are over 6Mb.
