I checked the powerbook, and files that were downloaded to C1 I could change the proof profile, but captures made when tethered were inchangeable.

    Sean,

Sounds like you may have 2 different versions on these machines.

3.7.5 there is a choice at Proof Profile > Gray Output > Generic Gray Profile
if you want a grayscale image.

Also In 3.7.5 are the Phase One Effects files that can be set at the WB Tool > ICC Profile > at Other Profiles
    These are RGB profiles.
Select the B&W and you will see images change.

Actually, both machines are running 3.7.5. (and MacX 10.4.😎
And only shots that were captured from a tethered Canon are the ones that will not change through the method you describe. Shots done with a Canon and downloaded from a card do change looks.
And there is still the question of displaying in horizontal or vertical through Preferences.
We do a lot of tethered Canon work, and may have to revert to an older version because of this, but we'd have to go back 2 versions, which is too bad.

    Sean,

Not at all, please create a Support Case for this issue so it can be handled correctly.

If you have older versions on this machine, a Clean Reinstall will help greatly.

    Support Site: http://support.phaseone.com

Attach a RAW image file you are working with for analysis.

Searching your email brings up a Cases from last May and January.
    No New Cases.
Do you have a Case # we can search?
