Can annotations be transferred from one field to another?

When I import a new set of images, is there a way to transfer the images' original names to another field in the Annotations? ie. Our image collection contains images from many photographers, who all have their own systems for naming images. In order to be consistent throughout the catalog, I plan to rename the images using "Batch Rename." However, because others have access to DVDs/CDs and contact sheets from the individual photographers, with their original file names noted, it would helpful to have the original names show somewhere in the annotations as a means of cross-reference.

Any suggestions??

There is a script that will copy the file name to the TITLE or PRODUCT field which will then enable you to retain the original photographers file name in that field. The script is by John Beardsworth at:

The code works for me after a slight alteration to replace the iView element with this

Set ivApp = CreateObject("PhaseOneMediaPro.Application")
