C1 4 faster than 5?

I had been running a trial version of c1 pro 5 for the past month, and it expired a few days ago. I decided to reinstall my older version of c1 4.8.1 I had been running up to that point. Its faster. It renders the thumbs faster, navigates faster, adjusts faster, etc. By no means is it the fastest program out there, but its markedly faster than 5 was on my system. I was waiting alot on 5, a lot of beach balls and laggy response. ANyone have any thoughts?

  and i can make web contact sheets again from my folders too.

  Have not noticed any performance changes. Maybe there are differences (I went from 4.8.3 to 5 and 5.0.1), but I did not notice it.

  I went back to 4.1.1 because it's the fastest.
  
  You can see your adjustments instantly, as it should be.
  
  4.8.3 has a delay of a second, where the image blurs. Impossible to work with.
