Because this is not a question users here can answer for you but you can try to gain momentum for the issue here.0 -
This is not possible since Sony does not have a public available SDK which we can use to implement tethered support.
Canon and Nikon has this this is why we can support them.0 -
I had the same issue and my response from Phase One was that there were no plans to support Sony.
I have managed to come up with a work around that is working well for me.
Install Sony Remote Camera Control; this is on the disc that came with the camera. Set the default download folder of this application to the same download folder as Capture One Pro. Ensure that both applications are running. Now as you shoot the files become available in COP as they download from the camera.
This approach does require you to click on the thumbnails as they come into COP, but it works well as a method of previewing my work in the studio as I shoot. It also has the added benefit that you can control exposure and balance through the Sony software.
If I have missed something obvious then apologies, I have only been using the software a matter of weeks.
Hope this helps

Hi Matt,
This is an excellent workaround which is often used by Canon and Nikon photographers as well when their camera is not (yet) supported for tethering in CO4 Pro. In addition, CO4 (non-Pro) users can mimic a kind of tethering as well.
One addition: You should be able to get the last image in the CO4 viewer without clicking on a thumbnail. Look in the Camera menu whether Hot Folder Enabled is checked. Also look at the Auto Select New Capture options.0 -
Then, will Capture One support Olympus in the future? 0
