Capture 4.8.2-3: Slow Processing
Hello,
For some times now, processing of pictures takes a lot of time. I have the time to prepare coffee and drink it. Usually for 10 pictures it take no longer than a minute of 2.
Now, it takes like 10 minutes. What I can see is when I start the batch it takes like 30 sec to a minute before each image is processed.
Didn't change anything on the computer. I also added CaptureOne.exe, ImgCoreProcess.exe to the exception in my anti-virus for real time scanning (NEF, JPEG, TIFF are also excluded).
Also changed the compatibility mode to XP SP3. Nothing changes, batch processing still slow.
OS is Windows 7 running on a Q6600 (Quad core at 2.4GHZ) and 8GB Ram.
[EDIT: 1.25 before it start and 2 secondes for processing.. too long]
Anyone an idea??

I'm running a four-year-old P4 with 1gb RAM and C1 takes no more
than 7 or 8 seconds to process a file. You definitely have a problem
somewhere in your system.

Hello,
Apparently all problems ar gone after I applied KB974332 from MS.
Disabled the compatibility mode in W7, fired C1 and processed files as normally.
So far so good. No more problems. Strange but it works perfectly now.0 -
User Olivier3 is bringing an interesting fact to our attention. He is apparently using Windows 7 (probably the final code which is due for release 22 Oct 09). Microsoft just released a first "Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Application Compatibility Update" (ID=974332) and they intend to do update the patch in the future when applicable. Microsoft web site for the patch info & download:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/974332/
Expect Phase One to issue a compatibility statement or an CO4 update after the Windows 7 release at earliest.0 -

Thanks Olivier for the release info, I am in the same boat (working in IT, having all the stuff before release). I already brought this thread to Phase One's attention and they are looking into it as well.0
