Panasonic GM1 Raw support ??
Has Phase one arranged for GM1 support in COP v8?
So far I have been getting by in COP 7 by editing all my GM1 RAW files to be GX7, getting excellent results. But now I have bought the GX7 as well, this is no longer a good strategy.

You can always check the release notes of the latest version of Capture One. You find it on the program's download page, under Documentation. Perhaps it is easier to visit this webpage:

Thanks Paul, I see that it is not supported. I suppose there is little hope now that RAW support is still coming now that the GM1 is almost a year old, and has been been superseded by the GM5. ☹️
I wonder if the the GM5 will suffer the same fate as the GM1.0 -
For raw file support it is advised to request it in a support case.

I just opened a support case about supporting the GM1 and got this reply 😄 :
I have looked at our RD system and it looks like it will be supported with the next update of capture one, due out in the next week or so.

We have yet to do an official announcement for support of this camera.
The supporter was in this case a bit quick on the trigger.
We aim to have support for this camera as soon as possible but as always it a question of prioritisation and resource planning.

From Wikipedia I learned that you were a company of 300 people in 2012 and although you have probably grown slightly since February, I can understand that resource planning is a big challenge.
However, the GM1 has been available for almost 11 months now, one thread requesting support has been going since April. Many of us who have this little camera are very fond of its portability , versatility and fine imagine quality - of course you try to do your best and most challenging images as raw.
Perhaps you can help keep it now fairly high in the priority list.0 -

If Capture One users can get excellent results on GM1 files by replacing all the GM1 tags with GX7 tags (or apparently just the first tag) it would seem to indicate that not that many of your company’s resources would be involved. Why can’t you at least give preliminary support for the GM1 like you initially did for the GX7? It isn’t convenient to edit every GM1 file in order to use our preferred Capture One software.0 -

If you're on a Mac use TextEdit. Open the file in TextEdit. Go to Edit> Find> Find and Replace. At the top of the window two boxes will open up. In the top box that says Find put GM1. In the Replace box put GX7. Hit the ALL button. Save and hit the Done button. Repeat for each of your GM1 files. 0 -

The requests for GM1 support go back as far as April ..... and Panasonic has already developed the replacement GM5. Once the GM5 is being sold, the motivation to support the GM1 will disappear. 0 -
