Quick search of multiple keywords

I think you're expecting too much of the software.

But I can suggest a tip to speed up the "Find" process. Set up a Find query as you describe, then choose the "Save this query" option using the "gear" button at the upper right and save it as "2 keyword query" (at least it's a gear in Expression Media; I'm not sure if they changed it in Media Pro). Then the next time you use Find, you can select your custom query from your list of saved queries. (It might even remain as the current query from the last time you used it.) Saves a lot of time.

I think that should be, you are expecting to much of this software. 😉

Considering that in something like ACDsee in the quick search tool bar you can type in ben+dexter -bella which will bring up all images containing ben and dexter together but excluding any that have bella in them and the permutations are endless. 😊

Ha, you're right. I stand corrected.

I just downloaded a trial copy, but I can't get the Quick Search tool bar to work as you describe. I get only single keyword results. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, or it's a Mac limitation. I really like the clean interface. Unfortunately it appears to lack a Web gallery generation tool, which is critical to my workflow. It also has the same problem displaying NEF edits as Expression Media/Media Pro. Also, the Mac version doesn't have all the features of the Windows version. I had hoped this would be a good alternative to Media Pro. Oh, well.

Thanks for the tip on speeding up the find process, at least that will help. It's a shame you can't use +'s and -'s in the quick search field, I don't really see any reason why that functionality isn't already there — it doesn't seem like it's that much to expect from a database/catalogue software.

So apparently you can only save "find" searches in the full app, not the reader app...
