Best stable tethered system (5D mk3) and CO combo

Ive been using 10.8.4 and CO 6.45, and have been mostly happy. I would like to delve into CO 7. My previous experience with CO 7 was NOT GOOD.

Has anyone had any fortune with a particular combination of system software and CO 7?

  OS X 10.8.5 is working fine for me, in combination with CO7. I tether to an 5D mk2.

  i have a 2011 mbp (non retina) fast samsung ssd, but only 8 gigs, do you think i should get the 16 upgrade?

  I am not sure there is a 16 GB upgrade for the 2011 MBP. But with 8 GB your system is perfectly fit for the task.
