Syncing C1 Preferences and Settings?

Is there a recommended way to sync preferences, recipes, settings, presets and the like between two copies of C1 Pro?

Would it be as simple as putting those common files on Dropbox and creating an alias or symbolic link to them?

Or is syncing discouraged?

  I just copy the files in the OSX library from one machine to another.
