adjustment layer
I'm using C1Pro 8.2. When I add an adjustment layer, name it, highlight it, draw the mask and make my adjustments on the layer the adjustments are applied globally. I never had this problem in Ver.7 Am I missing a step?

Can you check that you use the tools on the Adjustments Layer tool tab? These work specifically on the selected layer. Tools on other tool tab don't. Also note that not all tools work on layers, only the tools that are listed on the layers tool tab.

I'm working in the Local Adjustments tool tab. I create a new layer, name it, select the layer, make the adjustment needed but it continues to make the adjustment globally. An example is an interior shot of a barn. I created a layer to lighten a specfic area of a wall, the layer has the adjustment button selected not the clone or heal. I selected the area I want to lighten using the brush tool, have the layer highlighted and checked in the layer list but when I adjust the exposure or brightness it applies globally. I unchecked the layer to check to see where I had applied the change but there is no difference i.e. I don't see the before and after change in the image. I did not have this issue in previous versions of C1 Pro. I'm running Ver 8.2 on a Mac OS X 10.10.3. 0 -
Strange. You could verify the session or catalog you are using, or better create one new for testing. Import the image again without adjustments in that new session/catalog.
If the issue persists, delete the preference file as per instructions in the article linked below:
