Easy way to bring across C1-5 mods into C1-6 (new computer)?
I'm pleased to be installing Capture One 6 on a new computer.
I have access to all of the files that were in my C1-5 folder in Program Files, and elsewhere, on my old machine. But C1-5 is not installed on the new machine.
My question is - are there one or more files I could copy across that contain the photo mods - exposure, color, etc. - that existed to raw images in C1-5, including the mods that were brought across from C1-4 when I installed 5?
Or, is there another way I can make the applicable files available to C1-6 at install time?
Obviously, there's nothing in the Windows registry to indicate that I was a C1-5 user.
A lot of work went into those mods, and I'd rather not start from scratch if there's a way to bring 'em across.
I have access to any and all files that C1-5 would have used, and can place them anywhere that's useful.
Thanks and regards,

Forget the Program Files folder or the registry, CO5 (as CO4 and 6) store image adjustments in the image folder's Capture One sub folder (in the Settings50 folder in particular). Move these with the images to your new computer and you're fine. 0 -
FYI, if you are doing a copy and paste, you may want to migrate your images in smaller pieces. Data corruptions can occure. Afterwards, use a freeware program called CDCheck to do a bit for bit comparison and make sure the your files are not corrupted. Or use a back-up utility which has data integrity software built-in. It happened to a friend of mine. He did not loose anything, but he had to set-up his old computer a month later after he found a copied file was corrupted. Afterwards, we found a few more using CDCheck. 0 -
Many thanks! I have brought across all my photo files and folders, including any sub-folders. So my adjustments should be intact.
Initial views indicate the data came across fine, but I will keep your comments about data corruption in mind.
Now, on to installing C1-6. Thanks again.0 -
Postscript - install of C1-6 64-bit went like a champ, and all development mods are intact - including the indicators that I had sent a developed photo to batch.
64-bit software and a new machine does wonders when loading in 900 raw photos from last year 😊.
