request for Pentax K5 support

I just wanted to put in a request for support of the new Pentax K5 at your earliest convenience.

And by the way, if you could also support the Panasonic LX5 at some point, it would be greatly appreciated.

    just adding "profiles" does not always work w/o some issues... like w/ Pentax Kx - the camera was profiled by PhaseOne, but the code was not added/modified to correctly decode/demosaic some ISO12800 raw files properly... so proper support requires some more effort...

    Sorry to bug you, but having done so, resulted in a "I will pass on the request to development" and then the support case was closed.
    So having logged a support case made for no more of a clarification than asking a question here:)

    Not so.
    Although the clarification may not be more prominent on your end, we have now submitted the request in the Proper way to the very individuals that write the software. They now have a Name, Date and formal request to reference in equating the demand for the cameras support. Currently there are only 4 Capture One users (including yourself) that have asked for this camera to be supported.

    Hi,

    Please, have you planned an update version of Capture one 5.2 to develop Pentax K5 Raw format ? Will this version accept PEF and DNG formats or only PEF format (like for the previous versions).

    Hello!
    Will we get support for Pentax K-5 in CO 5? I think that it would be fair as CO 6.xx appeared this year, and K-5 is sold from October 2010 when CO5 was still used and sold, so I think that Phase One should add support for current (at that time) cameras to current software, not only the newest which is prepared. New camera profile is not new functionality, so it could be just copied from CO6 to CO5 version.

    On 3 Dec 2010 I answered you to a similar question, and up and until today that still stands. (I am trying to be funny, for an answer you don't like, but you never shoot the messenger, do you?) 😄
