C1 Pro..asking to open sessions..will not start

Hello, I am using C1 Pro 5.2. I never use sessions and it has suddenly starting asking to open sessions when I try to launch C1. The program will not start without creating a new session which I do not want. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance

  My remedy would be to both clear the CO 5 preference file and the default Capture One.col50 file and start CO5 Pro again.
