Capture 1 for Sony
Hi Folks.
I was wondering about this software, I have been trying it with all my photos, and am starting to like it. It's worked fine on everything i've got so far except certain files from my scanner. When these files are loaded none of the tools work. is this normal for the Sony version ? I thought the limitations in this version was just the tool and the RAW files had to be from Sony cameras. is there a list of restrictions somewhere? Also it would be good to know whats available in the paid versions that isn't in the Basic version. it's unclear to me if I would still need other software after going to a full version for Sony or the full version.
On the scanned files it seems to depend on how I scan them whether they work or not. it's an epson scanner, In the epson scanner driver in pro mode the files don;t work but in any other mode they work fine.

An Alpha channel will stop play. Also certain very large and very small sizes, but I suspect you should look for Alpha channel or monochrome mode.

Ah, I thought I had added something to suggest that a few non-jpgs might have slipped in.
It seems not.
That woudl be my first thought.
Or some very small jpgs but I think the one time size issue for small jpgs is now a non-constraint in V9.0
