moving files

Hi I hope someone can help me .I have a lot of Raw files on a external hard drive,That have had adjustments Made in capture 1 20 and this drive is getting full,So I have got a new drive 3 times Bigger, So how do I let capture ! Know that theses files are no longer on the old Drive and have been moved to the new drive so it still applies those adjustments to The the same files but on the new drive. These are in cataloges So can format the old drive

    From what I have learned about C1...it is always best to do the moves from within the app.

     

    Can you hook both drives to your computer at once?

     

    If so, use C1 interface within the catalog(s)....to move the directories form one drive to the other....

     

    Moving files externally and then having to go into C1 and repoint it to the new location can be done from YouTube tutorials I've been watching, but looks to be a bit more painful than doing all moves from within the C1 application so that the catalog database knows where everything is going.

    Hi Garry,

    I think the best solution would be to right click on the parent folder in your catalogue after having connected the new hard drive with your pictures, and click "locate..." in the contextual menu.
