Move folder to new physical location in session?
Hi
apologies if this is already answered (I searched without luck).
I have a session - with images imported into two parallel main folders (Cam1 & Cam2) and then the raw files processed from each of those.
However - I've just realised that all my Cam 1 files have been imported onto the wrong drive (with all the processing done on orig files and variants from there). I thus need to move them to the correct drive (to be alongside the Cam 2 images). I don't want to have to reimport the raw files again from scratch as this would loose all the edits and processing etc.
I would be grateful for any advice on how to move these files. (I dont see a 'move folder' type command. I expect some form of export and reimport might work but am unsure how to proceed...
Grateful for any assistance or pointer to existing answer or how-to etc etc..
thanks
Darren

I'm not sure I understood, but have you tried importing the session into a catalog, and then 'dragging' the folders to the same drive within the library panel?
That should consolidate the images and keep the current editing.
Have backups before attempting it.0 -
Darren,
I think you should be OK if you drag and drop the top level folder that's on the wrong disk to where you want it using the C1 Library tool to view and control the System Folders.
I would suggest that you set up a quick trial with a couple of files so that you can test the suggestion to your own satisfaction before making the live correction you describe.
Alternatively the session design will, if I have ready your description correctly, have self contained folder stractures for the Cam 1 and Cam 2 instances no matter which disk they are on.
So if you move (better to Copy and then delete if you wish to be cautious) the top level folder as you require and then make it a Favourite at the new location all of the edits and previews will follow in the subfolders ready to be seen by the cosession file you associate them with using the "Favourite" flag.
HTH.
