EM to Capture One
I've been a long time user of Photoshop/Bridge and Lightroom. But after watching the videos on Capture One, it looks much better in what it can do with the original files and would sure cut down on sending a photo to PhotoShop. A long time ago I had iView but with a change of computers etc. I lost the program. Recently I bought EM 2 with service pack 2, so it should be up to date.
In the future will we be able to send an original photo (DNG in my case) to Capture One and have the adjustments show up automatically in EM like it does between Bridge and ACR?
In my present workflow I have done the RAW processing and left the finished photos as DNG's (unless they have to go to PS, then saved as TIFFS). This has cut down on a lot of duplicates. But if I change over to EM I would have to export everything out of CO as a TIFF, then import back into EM. I would keep them in the same files so if they ever become stackable, they would be there.
Lightroom has a lot of benefits (as well as ACR), but after looking at the videos of CO6 pro I really like what I'm seeing and seriously thinking of completely changing my RAW processing.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions etc. on changing my workflow.
