Capture One will not recognize Thunderbolt Lacie External
Hi - I am new to C1 coming from Lightroom. I tether to a Macbook Pro and the session is automatically copied to a USB drive. No problem here. I port the session to my LaCie thunderbolt drive attached to my iMac for editing. When I open C1 on the iMac it will not recognize the LaCie thunderbolt drive (which is my working edit drive) -- it sees all other USB drives connected - just not the LaCie thunderbolt. I have used disk utility, etc but nothing has helped. All other apps recognize the drive. Can anyone offer suggestions?
Thanks,
Jeff Wasserman

I should have added running Sierra and Capture One 10. 0 -
I had a similar problem, and it appeared that one of the disks in the LaCe was failing.
In Terminal you can try the command "diskutil appleRaid list" to check if both disks are online.

FWIW, I use a Lacie external Thunderbolt drive and have no problems at all. 0 -
It's a mystery for sure. FYI just a single 3T drive, not a RAID. Disk Utility says all is well with the drive so no real clue. As a work around I am editing on my computer HD and then copying it over, but this is a pain. 0 -
Ah, ok no RAID.
Still you might want to explore the "diskutil" command in the Terminal.
It might give more information than Disk Utility.
I suppose you already tried unplugging and plugging in again.
Sorry can't be of more help.
Good luck

Thanks Jan - yes tried pretty well everything I could think of including the command line diskutil which says everything is OK. 0 -

Have you checked the permissions for that drive yet? If the drive appears in the Finder and in the list of drives detected by the iMac (about this Mac), it is possible that the drive may have been restricted for access.0 -

Will check but every other app can access it including Lightroom so doubtful. 0
